Expirience:

Born 1959 in Frankfurt am Main. After graduating from high school, studied medicine, received a doctorate and completed neurological residency in Frankfurt/M., followed by psychiatric residency in Darmstadt.
Training in depth psychology and behavior therapy.
1993-2002 Head physician at the salus clinic for psychosomatics and addiction in Friedrichsdorf/Ts.
Since 1997 specialist in psychotherapeutic medicine.
Since 2002, he has been intensively involved in schema therapy. From 2002 to 2007, as head physician, he established the first psychosomatic ward in Berlin-Havelhöhe that works according to schema therapy.
Since 2007 he has been working in private practice in Frankfurt/M. and as a lecturer and supervisor for behavior therapy and schema therapy. He also holds teaching positions at the KathoNRW in Cologne and the Kath. Stiftungsfachhochschule in Munich.
Since June 2008 he is the first fully licensed Schema Therapist in Germany and member of the founding board of ISST.
Fall 2009 Founded and directed the Institute for Schema Therapy-Frankfurt (IST-F).
Member of the ISST Board since 2008, past-President and now honorary member.

Areas of focus:

Schema therapy, mindfulness in psychotherapy, couples therapy, schema therapy in addictive disorders and in trauma.
